I have been researching into the Bruffell surname for a few years. Over this period of time I have traced over five hundred people with this surname going back to the 18th century. Before the middle of the 19th century there were many variations for the spelling of the Bruffell surname. The variations I have found are Bruffill, Broffell, Bruffield, Bruffull, Broughfell. At the moment I have only concentrated on persons registered with the name Bruffell. This information is now on a database.
